VibeOut ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use the VibeOut mobile application ("App"). VibeOut is operated by Matrix Alpha Capital LLC in Austin, Texas.
Account and Verification Information: If you create a phone-based account, we collect your phone number to send and verify a one-time SMS code. We also collect the display name you enter during onboarding and create or retrieve a Supabase Auth user identifier so your app profile can be associated with a real account record.
Phone verification is handled through Supabase and Twilio Verify. Twilio processes SMS verification code delivery and verification results. We do not sell your phone number.
Preferences and App Personalization: We collect music genre preferences, age group, city preference, saved events, RSVP choices, check-ins, ratings, comments, and similar in-app activity to power app features and personalize recommendations.
Some preferences and activity are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. Some account and verification data is stored with Supabase so the app can recognize verified users.
Location Data: With your permission, VibeOut may access your device location for nearby venue discovery, heat map centering, rideshare destination assistance, or check-in verification. We do not request Always or background location permission. Location is requested only when needed for a feature, and you can disable location access in iOS Settings.
Push Notification Information: If you enable push notifications, the app may store a push notification token and basic delivery context such as platform and city preference so we can send relevant notifications.
Optional Forms and Requests: If you use features such as guest list requests, promoter requests, or support/contact forms, we may collect information you choose to provide, such as name, phone number, party size, notes, or message content.
Device and Usage Data: We may collect limited device, diagnostics, and usage information needed to maintain app functionality, troubleshoot bugs, improve performance, and understand feature usage. This information is not sold.
Information from Third Parties: VibeOut displays event and venue data from third-party services such as Ticketmaster and Google Places. We do not share your personal account information with Ticketmaster or Google Places for advertising.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information.
We may share limited information only with service providers who help us operate the app, including Supabase for authentication and backend infrastructure, Twilio Verify for SMS one-time-code delivery, Expo for push notifications and app services, Apple for in-app purchases and subscription management, and Ticketmaster and Google Places for event and venue data retrieval.
We may also disclose information when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, VibeOut, or others.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
California residents and users in other jurisdictions may have additional privacy rights under applicable laws.
VibeOut is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we learn that a minor provided personal data, we will take steps to delete it.
The App may link to third-party websites or services, including ticketing platforms, rideshare apps, social platforms, and venue websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third-party services.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
